Rob Conn Wins Mr Gay UK 2002

Rob Conn from Bristol has won the Mr GAY UK 2002 competition at The Nightingale in Birmingham, hosted by Craig Phillips, winner of the first Big Brother. In conjunction with phone and text message voting, celebrity judges decided that the 26 year old IT Systems Manager was this year's winner. Second place went to Carl Farrar, representing Woking and Jack Jefferson representing Cardiff came in third place. 

The judging panel comprised author and porn star Aiden Shaw, BBC interior designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, Casualty actor Lee Warburton, Mr GAY UK 1999 Mark Ledsham and TV presenter Joanne Malin. 

Rob was presented with the trophy by Mr GAY UK 2001 Carl Austin. He also goes home with prizes including a holiday to Gran Canaria courtesy of Respect Holidays, £1000 cash courtesy of Red Devil energy drinks, £500 worth of designer clothes courtesy of and a £500 gift pack courtesy of NOW Mail Order.
